Most Sushi restaurants will tell you that their fish is always fresh. But what they do not tell you is that sushi restaurants often have their fish delivered, never actually seeing it before purchasing. They also won’t tell you that to save cost they often buy less than sushi grade fish.
Kenji Ueno (Ken) decided over 22 years ago when opening his restaurant that he would only provide the best quality fish by waking up 3am every other day as he drives to the Los Angeles Fish Market and hand picks his fish. If the fish for that day is not of the best quality, Ken will simply not purchase it in order to ensure that all his sushi is fresh and top quality.
Located on the historic Route 66 in Rancho Cucamonga, Ken’s Japanese Restaurant has been serving the finest and freshest sushi and Japanese food since 1989. Ken’s features a friendly and casual dining experience with two sushi bars and a main dining room area.
