Thank you to Inland Valley Daily Bulletin readers for naming San Antonio Regional Hospital as the Best Hospital for the 11th consecutive year. This year, we were also named Best Knee Center, Best Urgent Care Facility, and a Favorite Place to Work. Truly an honor!
During COVID-19, our relationships with Inland Empire community members grew even deeper. As we were caring for our neighbors, our neighbors were caring for us. Our staff was stretched to their limits as San Antonio treated more COVID-19 inpatients than any other hospital in the Inland Empire. We received overwhelming messages of support, daily meals for our care teams, PPE donations, and more. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
As we begin to put the pandemic behind us, we encourage you to reestablish your preventive healthcare. Many of us have seen a lapse in good health. Do you know your critical health markers? Scheduling a routine check-up and lab work will provide the important numbers you need to know…and if you’ve been delaying a procedure or elective surgery, now is the time to talk to your doctor.
As we look forward to a healthier future, San Antonio Regional Hospital is responding to our community’s healthcare needs with strategic partnerships and true centers of excellence.
Our partnership with City of Hope has resulted in a beautiful community cancer center on our hospital campus. The center brings organized, streamlined, and comprehensive cancer care to our community. San Antonio Regional Hospital’s Breast Center, along with imaging, laboratory, and support services for oncology patients are provided in the same building. Now patients have access to cancer expertise close to home.
Our heart institute has been named a Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital in the nation by IBM Watson. We will soon open a third cardiac catheterization lab in response to an ever-increasing need for cardiac testing and interventional procedures. In addition, San Antonio entered a strategic partnership with Cedars Sinai to open a clinic for advanced heart failure patients right on campus.
Our award-winning orthopedic institute has not only been recognized by Daily Bulletin readers as the Best Knee Center, but Anthem Blue Cross, an independent licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, named San Antonio as a Blue Distinction Center Plus for Hip and Knee Replacement. San Antonio earned the award for demonstrating quality and cost efficiency in hip and knee replacement surgeries.
The Inland Empire continues be one of the fastest growing regions in the nation. San Antonio has plans to add to our Best Urgent Care Facility designation by adding a fourth urgent care in the region. In addition, we are in the initial stages of planning a brand new birthing center on our main campus in Upland.
